Colours: they have used lots of bright bold colours to match there new logo and branding, they have done this so it all ties in together so when you see all them colours together you think of More 4 - Themes: The theme is the bold colours they are trying to keep this theme throughout all there idents so when you see it so straight away think of More 4. - Pace: its a slow pace timed to the music, this is good because it makes people feel comfortable as the visuals and audio changes at the same time. - Editing: The editing is basic nothing fancy they have just paced and timed it well so all of the shots flow together well. they would have CC the footage but not a lot more. - Sound: The sound of the actual ident is calm and simple played on a string instrument. The audio matches to visuals so it all flows together. - Typography: The have not used any words everything is visual represented. - How was it made: The ident is basic in its making they have got some flip card books nailed them to a tree and just put a light blower on them to make them move slowly. - Mise En Scene: - Who made it: I could not find out who made this ident but it was someone part of the 4 channel. - What’s it for: This is for Channel 4s later channel More 4, This is to show what channel you are watching. - Why is it designed like this: Its simple and calm so people feel comfortable watching this channel as its not all moving and fast paced its more of a relaxed channel. - Audience: I personally think the audience range is young, They have used bright modern colours that indicated they are aiming for a younger generation. Channel 4 created this ident for there own channels. - Part of a series: There is many different channel 4 idents but they all have the same theme where the camera moves to make a 4 out of objects. - What’s it for: this is just to show what channel you are watching but at the same time they have done it in such a way that you don’t forget there ident. - Why is it designed like this: i personally think they have made an ident like this as no other company have thought of this so it keeps them unique. - Audience: This has been aimed at a large audience and this is because channel 4s tv audience is large so they had to keep with that theme. Reference: https://coreywakeman.wordpress.com/2012/09/20/6-ident-analysis/ | The overall colour theme of this ident is blue & red, they have done this because they are very contrasting colours but in a nice way thats looks good at the same time. you can tell they have done this because even down the the socks & clothing the actors are wearing are blue and red. They have also done this to make the ITV logo to stand out, following the same colour theme because the back ground and soundings are blue they put the logo in red so it would contract and stand out nicely. - Themes: The theme of this ident is an old game called Curling, it is kinda a form of bowls but normally played on ice. they have used this game as the theme of there ident because no one else has thought of this is idea which makes is unique and original to them. They have put a twist on the theme as they are playing it in a joking manner which is made out to be a group of friends messing about. - Pace: There is only really one pace thoughtout this ident as it is just one fluid shot. the pace is a swift as it seems like it has been shot with a jib on a dolly to get the fast moving pace but fluid shot. - Editing: The editing of the actual shot is simple, they would have colour corrected the shot but nothing fancy. the hardest part of this ident to edit would have been the logo that pulls from the frame to then sit on top. this would have been done in either after effects or cinema 4d. - Sound: They have taken out the audio from the actually clip and just added backing music that is up beat. This actually gives the over all ident an up beat feel. - Typography: They didn’t use much typography in this, as the only text they decided to use thought out the whole ident was the ITV logo. - How was it made: This video is a life action movie but has also used 3d software e.g Cinema 4D, they have added the logo in but made it blend and change with the video so its not to distracting to the viewer. - Mise En Scene: - Who made it: ITV would have commissioned someone to come in an make the ident for them but unfortunately i can’t find the information of who anywhere. - What’s it for: It is for the ITV 2 broadcasting channel to inform people they are watching this channel. - Why is it designed like this: It is different and no one else has made an ident like this so when people see it they instantly associate it with ITV2 which is there main goal. - Audience: This ident has been aimed at the older audience from ages around 25 to 70. I think this because this is the age range that ITV 2 itself is aimed at. Reference: https://coreywakeman.wordpress.com/2012/09/20/6-ident-analysis/ |
